Samsung S20 Ultra 5G Specifications: 108 MP AI Quad Camera, Price in Nepal

The all-new Samsung S20 Ultra is one of the most expensive flagship phones ever in the brand’s gallery. The moniker “ultra” pretty much sums up everything about this device. But Samsung has justified the price by giving every best hardware possible in this smartphone. Although the design of this phone makes it blend into every other smartphone out there, do not mistake it with just another flagship phone as it features the best specs in the market till now.

The display of S20 Ultra is rated ten out of ten. It has the amazing 6.9 inches Infinit-O QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with 3200 x 1440 pixels resolution and a fine 120 Hz refresh rate. It got all the premium features that are expected from the brand in 2020 like glossy glass back/front, IP68 dust, and water resistance to name a few.

Design and Display

Although S20 Ultra phone is quite thick in comparison to other Galaxy S lineups, it is quite well balanced and you won’t feel any struggle using it. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 which has the same scratch resistance but with better impact resistance. You don’t have to worry about the minor drops. More screen with less frame adds to a significant viewing experience. Plus, HDR10+ Infinity-O Display offers a big immersive view with limited onscreen interruptions.

This smartphone is noticeably taller, but is not much wider than Note 10 Plus and S10 Plus with the aspect ratio of 20:9 and the screen is perfectly bright with the resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels. In comparison to S10 Plus, Samsung has found a way to house the selfie camera in the smaller punch hole making the screen wider. At 8.8mm, it is noticeably thicker than other S20 and S10 models and has a weight of 220g.

The S20 Ultra’s most highlighted feature has an awesome refresh rate with 1080p 60hz out of the box and you can notch it up to 120hz refresh rate for fluid and snappy scrolling. It also supports 240Hz touch sensing, a feature available in only a few, including ROG Phone II and a couple of Black Shark 2s in the world of smartphones.

It has the brightest screen that can hit up to 894 nits, nearly 100 nits more than iPhone 11 Pro Max. It is modified with minor curvature on the sides for improvement to handle and minimize unwanted touch on the edges. This epic phone is available in two colors Cosmic Black and Cosmic Grey.

It is compact with 12 GB RAM (maximum of 16GB) and 128 GB (max of 512 GB) internal storage. Galaxy S20 5G also comes with expandable storage of up to 1.5 TB. There are no longer worries about storing high-resolution images and videos.

Even with all the power running the massive hardware, it barely heats which adds up to the expectation of the premium quality phone. Superfast, precise touch response delivers an incredibly reactive gaming experience.

Camera

Of course, the big headline feature in Samsung S20 Ultra is the new quadruple-camera setup. 108 MP with f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization is the main shooter alongside you get 48 MP telephoto lens with f/3.5 aperture and 10x hybrid optical zoom with optical image stabilization, and f/2.2 12 MP ultrawide sensor to fit all your family and friends in the frame. Finally, there is 0.3 MP time of flight camera 3D depth-sensing, which shows you the broader context of what you’re looking at (the little square in the screen shows what your frame is capturing).

The detailing of this whole camera system is very impressive. The additional AI features like Tracking AF, 8K video@24fps, up to 960fps slow-mo, Super Steady stabilization, etc. let you have fun with the camera even better.

You’ll get a 40MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF which lets you take an impressive selfie and have fun with various AI modes. Talking about the video, the front camera also supports 4K at 30/60fps, 1080p at 30fps. There is a special “single-take mode” which captures different shots, including photos, ultra-wide shots, normal video, hyper-lapse video and more. You can also clip a 33MP photo from a video. Portraits, which Samsung calls “Live Focus” is absolutely amazing in comparison to other high-end phones in the market.

Battery and Connectivity

This is an all-day phone with a massive battery of 5000 mAh which means that you got to use what you want without worrying about battery life. Feel free to use heavy stuff, gaming, navigation, etc. It doesn’t matter in what display you use, the battery works fine in both 120hz and 60hz refresh rate variation. It is also wireless and reverse-wireless charging compatible. This phone supports 45W fast charging.

The Samsung ultrasonic fingerprint scanner has improved a lot and it simply unlocks even if you touch it gently, which was not the case in previous phones. Because many countries globally are not suited to 5G technology, Samsung made LTE available just to let users get the best experience of the best phone they have to offer.
